RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE IN THE TACTICAL GRID

Each year at the TGA Annual Symposium, we honor the warfighters — across all MOSs — who build, operate, and defend the tactical grid. Nominations are submitted through each respective service.

AWARD CATEGORIES

Presented Annually at the TGA Symposium

The Hercules Enlisted • E-1 to E-5

Recognizing junior enlisted service members who demonstrate exceptional proficiency and hands-on dedication in building and sustaining the tactical grid at the operational edge.

NOMINATION CRITERIA
  • Active duty, Guard, or Reserve in pay grades E-1 through E-5 — any MOS/AFSC/rating
  • Demonstrated excellence in C2 systems or tactical grid operations
  • Direct impact on unit readiness, interoperability, or mission success
  • Recommended by unit commander or senior NCO in the chain of command
The Thor SNCO • E-6 to E-9

Honoring Senior NCOs whose sustained leadership, mentorship, and operational expertise have shaped the next generation of warfighters and strengthened the tactical grid at scale.

NOMINATION CRITERIA
  • Active duty, Guard, or Reserve in pay grades E-6 through E-9 — any MOS/AFSC/rating
  • Proven track record of developing subordinates and advancing C2 or tactical grid capability
  • Contributions to doctrine, training, or organizational improvement in C2 or grid operations
  • Recommended by unit commander or senior leader in the chain of command
The Zeus Officer • O-1 to O-6

Honoring Officers who champion innovation in command and control, drive interoperability across the joint force, and lead the strategic advancement of the tactical grid.

NOMINATION CRITERIA
  • Active duty, Guard, or Reserve commissioned officer (O-1 through O-6) — any MOS/AFSC/rating
  • Leadership that directly improved C2 effectiveness or tactical grid capability
  • Contributions to joint interoperability, modernization initiatives, or strategic C2 planning
  • Recommended by senior officer in the chain of command
The Odin CWO • W-1 to W-5

Recognizing Chief Warrant Officers whose deep technical mastery and innovative problem-solving have opened new paths in the tactical grid, networking, or command and control systems.

NOMINATION CRITERIA
  • Active duty, Guard, or Reserve Chief Warrant Officer (W-1 through W-5) — any MOS/AFSC/rating
  • Demonstrated technical expertise that directly advanced C2 or tactical grid capability
  • Innovation in systems integration, network architecture, or C2 modernization
  • Recommended by unit commander or senior Warrant Officer in the chain of command
